Thirty years ago it was very difficult to find vegetarian food in Bangkok. There was only one vegetarian restaurant of note, the Whole Earth on Soi Langsuan. Today there are over a hundred. Now an increasing number of ordinary restaurants have a vegetarian menu and serve a tasty meal, in contrast to the bland food which was served as a special order in years past.
